Joys Autobiography as of 2010 when i am up to it i will fill in the rest . Not Your average teenager November 30, 2014 at 11:50pm Joyce Morris 3B Political Science/ 2A Economics Autobiography Paper It was October 30,1995. My mother, Theresa Morris and my father, Harry Morris had justgot the surprising news, another baby was on the way! The doctors hadsaid she couldn't have any more kids after my brother, Jimmy Morris, was born. My mom had a partial hysterectomy and was going throughcancer treatments while she was pregnant with me. Her doctors told her sheshould get an abortion, that I could turn out with mental problems,and/or be deformed, but that didn't stop her, she figured lets giveit a try. April 20, 1996 mymom was rushed to Christiana hospital. My family waited anxiously tosee me. April 21, 1996 I was born. No deformities and no mentalissues. It was a miracle! My mother named me Joyce Anne Morris. I getmy first name from my great-grandma, Joyce. She was my mothers heroand a strong woman. My middle name, Anne, comes from my Grandma Anne.I was born 8lbs 3oz, and I was 19 inches long. Finally my mother andmy father took me to our old home in Magnolia, Delaware. I had mynursery set up in my mothers room for two years. I lived next to mybest friend, Janette. We wereinseparable. From ages three to five I shared a room with my twosisters, Lori and Meghan. I'm the youngest, so I always got pickedon. Just before the start of kindergarten we moved to Smyrna. Icouldn't believe it. I had to move away from my best friend! When I was five myfamily and I moved to our new house in Smyrna. I started school atSmyrna Kindergarten. Storm, Rebecca, and Laura became my best friendsin kindergarten. Laura lived across the street from me. We alwayshung out. She was like my sister from another mother. That year mymom and dad got married. They had a costume wedding for Halloween. Iwas an angel and the flower girl. The summer Ifinished kindergarten we moved to Dover, the house we live in now. Istarted elementary school at Booker T. Washington. I was in Ms.Neal's class. She was the worst, she never showed any emotion. Keoniawas the first friend I made in first grade. Keonia and I hung outevery weekend, we always had slumber party's. We would play dress upand have “fashion shows” We got old time photos done together inthe Mall. We were tight until third grade. In second grade Ihad Mrs. Robinson, she is one of my favorite teachers. She alwaysmade me laugh and would joke around. Keonia was also in my class forsecond grade. We hung out every weekend then too. This was the yearmy parents got divorced. My mother, my brother and I stayed at ourhouse and my father moved out. I had visiting with father onweekends, but it slowly stopped. Third grade I was in Ms. Caldwell'sclass. My brother had her previously and was a trouble maker, sothat's what she expected of me. She was very strict on me and I neverdid anything wrong! That was the year me and Keonia separated. Istarted roller skating lessons on the weekends so we didn't hang outas much. I made friends withShakyla, she was new to Booker T. I was her first friend. Shakylacame to my roller skating lessons with me. I went up to my grandmashouse for that, she was the one who started me in roller skating atthe Christiana Skating Center. After doing lessons for a year, skating and dancing on skates became easy and I got bored with it. Mygrandpa took me to Cecil County Dragway and let me watch the jr.dragsters. I was completely amazed. They were so fast! Thats when mygrandpa got me a jr. dragster and I began drag racing, I still do. Ialso began playing violin around the same time. In 2006 I startedfifth grade at William Henry Middle School. I joined orchestra andplayed violin until 8th grade. I also met my best friendto this day, Nikki, in 2006. Nikki and I have been tight since wefirst met. She wasn't in my class, she was my brothers friend. Webecame close when she first came over my house, she didn't even hangout with my brother. She became my partner in crime, if she wasn't atmy house, we were at hers. 2008 I startedschool at Central Middle school, I went to competition for orchestrain Hershey, PA. We got 3rd place. I went again in 2009 andwe got 1st place. I also went to Bristol Tennessee for Jr.Dragster Nationals in 2009. My grandpa drove me all the way downthere and they said my dragster was illegal because we didn't have abar welded around the back. They had just put it in the rules so wedidn't know. After a 12 hour drive to Tennessee we had to drive allthe way back! The next weekend on the track my brakes went out and Icrashed up the wall at the end of the track. I wasn't hurt, I cameout laughing. It was my first accident and I knew it would happen! 2010 I startedschool at Dover High. I was pretty excited, I was finally in highschool! My freshman year went by so fast. I made so many memories andmet a lot of amazing people. I joined BPA and still am in it. My bestfriend Nikki moved in with me during my freshmen year. It was great. We were trouble 24/7. Always messing with my mom and her boyfriend,Kenny. It is now 2011 andI'm a sophmore at Dover High. I still race a jr. dragster at CecilCounty Dragway and play violin. I have friends that I can trust andfamily that is always there for me. On weekends I go up to mygrandmas in Newark to go racing Sunday mornings. I do BPA afterschool and I do violin lessons. I guess you could say I'm youraverage teenager.
