Blu' 'Joy', 18 DOVER - Joyce Anne Morris "Blu" "Joy" of Dover passed away Wednesday June 4, 2014 at Crozer Hospital, Philadelphia. She was 18. Joy was born April 21, 1996 in Wilmington, Delaware to Harry James Morris, II and Theresa Burris Morris. She was a student at Delaware Technical College Terry Campus where she was studying Criminal Justice, she aspired to be a Civil Rights Attorney. Joy was an activist and an advocate for any good cause, and had even participated in the Occupation New York. She did all she could for anyone in need even going so far as to dumpster dive for toys for kids at Christmas who wouldn't have had any presents. She also was a Jr. Drag Racer, racing at Cecil County, Maryland and had gone to the Championship in Tennessee. Joy enjoyed playing the violin and listening to all music. Joy was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Betty Morris, and James Burris; and her uncle, Brad Lumsford. She is survived by her parents, Harry James Morris, II of Hartly, mother, Theresa Morris of Dover; brother, Harry James Morris, III "Jimmy" of Dover; half –sisters, Megan and Lori Morris; grandparents, William and Loretta Sheetz of Newark; great grandmother, Joyce Walls of Clayton; uncle, Tim Morris; aunts, Betty Jane Klase and Lisa Morris; Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2014. Interment will be in Gracelawn Cemetery.
