About Choose Joy was created in my daughter Joyce Anne Morris' memory to assist victims and their families after a fire. Mission Choose Joys Mission is to assist families who are caring for a loved one in a burn Unit. We are striving to ease some of the day to day issues that victims of fire face after their tragic experience. Company Overview Choose Joy is a new non profit organization created to assist families of burn victims while their loved ones are at a Burn Unit, such as Crozer Keystone Hospital and was created in memory of my daughter, Joyce Anne Morris. Being a victim of a house fire that resulted in my daughters death, I have personally experienced the need. Families of fire victims have no designated charity that is specifically to assist with meeting the families' needs in those first few weeks. When a loved one is being treated at a burn unit the expenses incurred are above and beyond the already devastating expenses of losing your home in a fire. Choose Joy will assist with transportation costs, food, housing, and advocating outside of the hospital, and as our funding grows, funeral expenses. We will be supporting the community by working with other non profit organizations to host and co-host events that spotlight unsigned local artists. These will be artists who do not have the means to bring exposure to their talent, and are bringing positive uplifting messages to the community. We will also be using guerrilla marketing techniques which will allow us to once again tap into and uplift people in the community who normally are considered unemployable.
